Amsterdam, 15 September 2025 – The Brabant-based investor Van de Laar C.V. has purchased the multifunctional Barbara Plaza building at Grote Marktstraat 38-42 in The Hague. Situated in a prime location at one of the busiest spots in the city centre, the property is located close to the De Bijenkorf and Peek & Cloppenburg department stores.
Completed in 2002 to a design by Bullhorst Architecten en Stedenbouwers, the building has a lettable floor area of approximately 6,250 m². It houses retail, leisure, sports and fitness, and hotel facilities.
The commercial spaces are fully let to Kruidvat, ICI Paris XL, Wibra and Basic-Fit. Additionally, around 3,150 m² is occupied by PLAZA Premium Den Haag City Centre, a four-star hotel with 78 rooms.
Van de Laar C.V.’s purchase underlines the continuing appeal of The Hague city centre as an investment location.
