Amsterdam, 8 June 2026 – UMB Group has acquired the Hoog Ambacht shopping centre in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. This acquisition further strengthens UMB’s position within the convenience retail segment, adding a well-established neighbourhood shopping centre to its portfolio.

The shopping centre comprises approximately 7,000 sqm of gross floor area (GFA) spread across 19 retail units. The centre is anchored by Albert Heijn and Dirk van den Broek, which together generate a strong and consistent visitor flow. Dirk van den Broek has recently modernised, expanded and upgraded its store, while also committing to a long-term lease.

Supermarkets account for around 55% of the tenant mix, while convenience retail represents approximately 90% of the scheme, distinguishing Hoog Ambacht as a future-proof retail destination. The shopping centre benefits from a tenant mix that is almost fully let, offering a broad range of daily convenience services and ample parking facilities, including an underground car park.

The acquisition was completed through the purchase of limited partnership interests in Hoog Ambacht C.V., the owner of the shopping centre.

BRIKKS acted as the commercial advisor to the UMB Group in this transaction. The purchaser was legally advised by Buma | Algera Notariaat. Hanson Bedrijfsmakelaars acted on behalf of the seller.
